Emergency – Town – Local Businesses – Clubs

There are useful resources available on the internet that not everyone is aware of. On this page links are provided to sites that visitors might like to bookmark for those occasions when they need certain information or assistance. ** If anyone has a site they think could be listed here  – it doesn’t matter what, if it interests you it will probably interest one of your neighbours also – please get in touch with the us and we will add it below. You can send your suggestion by email to baiedurfecitizens@gmail.com   This page doesn’t have to be only for emergency websites – we would like to be able to add anything that will be of interest to somebody … if it interests you then it will interest someone else. Clubs, community services, interest groups, churches, sports teams – whatever.

Businesses and Clubs: We will post, free of charge, links to local businesses, sports and social clubs. To qualify you must be – (a) Headquartered in Baie-D’Urfé and (b) Offering a service to Baie-D’Urfé residents. Just email details that include name of company/business, your logo, email address, website address, telephone number plus up to 150 words description of your services. Anything from a grass cutting service upwards. Student businesses particularly invited.

Emergency & Security

An environmental accident or other emergency occurs during a weekend? An oil spill by a company or a broken water pipe? Don’t wait until Monday to call Public Works; either call the weekend and public holiday emergency number 514-630-1234 or depending on the type of emergency you can also call 911.

Also be aware that if a company you hired (like an oil company) is responsible for a spill, the citizen will be responsible for paying for the clean-up even on town property since the citizen hired the company. It is prudent to check any company whether they have proper insurance and how responsible they are before hiring them!

If there is a security issue – call 911 first
